Hi, I’m Knud Berthelsen and I’ve been peer pressured into introducing myself by my fellow bloggers here.

I’m a second year MBA from Norway concentrating in Strategic Management & Leadership. I moved to New Orleans from Washington DC where I first followed U.S. domestic politics at the political dept. of the Norwegian Embassy, then interned at the libertarian Cato Institute where I focused on Free Market Environmentalism. Before moving to DC I spent a semester as an exchange student in Bozeman, MT skiing and studying economics at Montana State and the Property & Environment Research Center. My bachelor is in North-American studies from the University of Oslo.

My background is from politics in Norway and the Nordic countries, mainly from the Liberal Party of Norway and the Nordic Council. Back in the dot.com bubble days I co-founded an IT company. I spent this summer interning at Whole Foods Market’s HQ in Austin, TX.

I never planned to stay in New Orleans after school, but then I fell in love with the place and now I will if I find the right job here. Apart from that I’ll go anywhere for the right job. Later I intend to start my own business.
